Children are the flowers of our communities
PhotoVoice Exhibit Launches in Nanaimo
The PhotoVoice project was designed to support and amplify the voices of Indigenous Youth who participated in 2023 Tribal Journeys and the Queen Liliʻuokalani Outrigger Canoe Race in Kona, Hawaii. With support from our gifting partners, Save the Children Canada’s National Reconciliation Program, Youth were able to share the positive impacts of their experiences through their photos and reflections.
A curated public exhibition of their photos runs from May 23rd to June 28th, 2024 in recognition of National Indigenous History Month at the Nanaimo Harbourfront library.
We are rooted in self-determination and the rights of Indigenous children. KLF benefits from, and honours, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action. We warmly welcome businesses, industries and individuals into the conversation.
Building on 25 years of trusted Indigenous-centered youth programing and services, KLF unites us in our efforts to expand cultural, economic, social, educational and recreational access in support of Indigenous children and their families. The Foundation is a charitable organization and CRA-registered.
